When the almost certainly dead Agent Scott is being wheeled away for questioning, the gurney man scans his hand to enter the "Leaf" room. Here is a shot of the code that flashes on the screen: ACCESS 112400.
Also, here is a much better shot of the Leaf glyph.

I have a hunch that the employee access code can be used to access the employee section of the MD website. Only thing is it requires both a username and password. Ideas?
the site is set up to deny you.
rel="shadowbox; width=270; height=140; options={animate: false} " href="access_denied.html
so untll we see soneone log into a MD computer on the show or something, we can't get in.
112400 is the GeneID # for a brown rat or lab rat.
GeneID # ? Very interesting. I was thinking it might be the date of something, November 24, 2000, I don't know for sure though.
Also, the leaf symbol appears to have a triangle in it, which is also the Greek letter Delta, which is used to denote change. The leaf being a common natural item, maybe it has something to do with biological change! Hence bringing dead people back to life and bionic arms and what not...
Wow anon..I thought this might be about genes...and a cow named "gene"...does that gene ID have anyhting to do with cell growth in humans?
The cow's name is "Jean", but it is still a play on "gene"...
gene112400 is found in rats as noted by anon..also found in humans as NGR1...it does have to do with growth and neurons.

the cow's name IS Gene...I believe a reporter's (understandable) misspelling lead people to believe it was Jean...
Who gives a crap how you spell it, its how it's pronounced that makes it intriguing. They could spell it either way and when spoken it's still a double entendre.
By the way, Peter Bishop is a clone. I thought so when I re-watched the Pilot, hence why Walter checks his pupils upon meeting him, and asks to test him for something in the car while in Southie (I can't remember what.)
drewski-o, i don't think that peter's a clone. I think that he has an above average (super high) intelligence.
I agree, I also believe Peter is a clone of Walter. Several obvious reasons in both episodes, and also the way he asks him "When did you lose your imagination?"
Yeah, I totally agree that I think Peter is Walter's clone. More than the imagination question, I think was his comment about Peter being so impatient, Peter saying that Walter doesn't know him well enough to make that claim, and Walter saying that there's so much Peter doesn't know/understand.
Another HUGE hint at Peter being a clone is towards the end of episode 2 when Walter is speaking with Olivia, and he is about to mention something in Peters medical history, but Olivia says there wasn't anything, just a date of birth.
Walter also tell peter he has high blood pressure (or hypertension, i cant remember which) and peter says there are now visible symptoms. Im guessing Walter knows because he has the same condition.
Okay, I'm now swaying towards the fact that Peter could be a clone of Walter, but are we talking about a Penrose clone or a "implanted genes in an embryo" clone?
dont know but it has something to with the watcher as we saw in epp 4 when he knew everything peter was going to say before he said it so i think the watchers are also clones of walter he made before he forgot about his former life
Could it be that in the upper left corner of the scanner something is "encoded" in braille?

The numbers 112400 can also be a date. This particular date could be a reference to this discovery: http://archives.cnn.com/2000/TECH/space/11/24/alien.microbe.claim/
