Maybe it's not a flashback. Maybe Massive Dynamic is actually cultivating soldiers right now. Has anyone thought of that?
Pretty sure it's a flashback based on the antiquated equipment.

The MD logos cast doubt on the flashback assumption as well. Okay. Back on the fence. Still, those incubators don't inspire confidence.
cant be a flashback if it has those logos...no massive dynamic while he was partner w/bell, then walter was in jail. so if equipment looks old then this coulda taken place while he was in asylum. or its current. why does it have to be a flashback?
could the middle guy be walter's son??...joshua jackson?? I mean, the first thing walter does is look at his eyes...then he makes refernece that his eyes are green, not blue. Could joshua's charactor be a sucessful clone?..and that the eye color is somehow related?
He made the same 'eye color' reference with the "newborn" in last nights episode.
Funny, because Josh Jackson's eyes ARE blue. ;-)

hmm ..the doctor seems to get stuck on this theme of pupils. He checked out Pete's pupils first thing and pulled the lower lid down.
didnt walter say "92% of newborns eyes are blue, yours were green", indicating either his son is just one of the rare rarer 8%, or that the green eyes at birth are the result of something else. plus his reference to his sons medical history to olivia
You may want to look again at logo. It's MM. Massive Dynamic doesn't work.

shouldn't discount the other anon's comment that MD's existence/Walter's timeline conflict so it can't be a flashback per se.
Take it one step further, we know abrams likes his flashforwards and there's that precog thing that comes up in the title sequence (all things equal, Walter's a little too crazy).
the fact there's three could it have something to do with perfection? (the clones or warriors or whatever being the perfect reproduction?)
let's also not forget, when trying to figure out what the deal is with peter's "medical history", recently, i can't remember if it was episode 2 or 3, but when olivia asked peter about his mom, he said "that's a story for another time..." so, does he have a mother???
I agree, I also believe that peter is a clone. They keep mentioning his medical hostory, and they mentioned that walter didn't want to talk about his mom. And I don't believe anyone has mention the odd timeline of peter's child hood. I not sure of exact years, but they mention two dates, one being when peter was in around the forth grade and later walter mentions a date that is only around 7 years after that and mentioning that he was a senior in high school. That would indicate that he was 13 when he was a senior in high school. Although they do say he is a genius, it is unlikely that both him and his father are geniuses. Although it would be possible, it would also be possible that there was DNA manipulation when he was being cloned. I know that dates are mentioned that show him as 13 when he was a senior. If someone could get those exact dates it would be helpful. people will probably notice that peter was a senior when walter went to help the army. Which means that peter would have had to have been made before he worked with penrose. This would help to show how he got noticed by the US army in the first place.
Actually Joshuas eyes are green-blue. They are kind of both, like my own eyes that are green-brown.
