Can you post a screen of the "baby" laying in the hallway dead? Looked familiar to me when watching it in HD, but want to take another look.

In one of the scenes where a car pulls into a street, I think "Zeno" makes another appearance on the front license plate. I forget what seen it is.

How about a capture of the hand in the jar that Walter handed to Peter? I wonder if it has 6 fingers...

MDP said...

in the second to last scene when Olivia and Walter are talking in the lab, a man walks in in the background wearing a shirt and tie. I have no idea who he is but it doesn't seem the kind of place a random people would just show up.

Machine.Elves said...

Don't think anyone has mentioned this previously - in Episode 101, when Peter Bishop decides to go 'interrogate' the suspect, as he walks out the door of the surveillance room he appears on one of the monitors already walking into the surveillance room (at least, going by the coffee mug in his hand). This happens before he has had time to walk across the hallway.

Mistake, or time dilation effect...?

In the Pilot episode, at time 24:21 (when Olivia and Peter drive across the train tracks on their way into St. Claire's to visit Walter), there is a flash of light shaped like a column that appears over the train tracks. Is it possible to get a screen comparison of before and after to analyze this more closely? I am wondering if this is something akin to "Fight Club" where Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt) appears in momentary flashes before actually appearing on an ongoing basis...

Hello! Is there anyway you can post a screencap of the Bus on tonights episode of Fringe. I have heard that the bus has an ad for Apollo Bars, the same candy created by the Hanso Foundation as seen in the Lost Experience, and the TV Show LOST.

Thank you.
Jess :-)

Dennis said...

Jessica,

There are no ads on the Fringe bus, that I can see.

There was an Apollo ad on the side of a bus... on LOST. It was the bus that killed Juliet's ex. You can barely make it out on the show, but DarkUFO has a shot of the bus parked here.

Haven't finished watching the show again for clues, but noticed another goof.

When Peter is reading Roy's file in 103, the photo attached is obviously a 'younger' Roy. When he flashes the file to Walter, the photo is Roy of today. Most likely from his CAT scan.

benoit said...

Hello

I was wondering if it would be possible to have a screencap of the drill walter uses to, well drill the head of roy. The name on the drill was pretty obvious, maybe a bit too much obvious. Anyway, i would just like to be certain nothing is missed!

Anyway, thanks, and seriously, good job guys for making such a good site!

P.S.
you can go check the comment i leaved about the amino acids around the seahorse glyph. Could be useful.

Paul said...

Morning,

Could we get some screencaps of the drawings and mock-ups in Roy's apartment. There has got to be some clues in those!

Hajime said...

One thing that I've noticed.

The last drawn made by Roy has a woman with BOTH hands cut. However, only one hand was cut. Maybe it is just a simple mistake.

in episode 3, about half way through the episode, when olivia is at the train station trying to find the guy with the breifcase, there is a shot of olivia on a train walking through the crowd. there is a brief yet ominous shot of a bald man in a suit looking directly at olivia as she passes. if someone could grab this shot, it would be much appreciated as i feel it is one of the "watchers".

Can we get some screencaps of that supergun John Mosley was using?

How 'bout caps of the gun and of the damage it did

Could you post the photograph Olivia was given of the solider? He was wearing Digital Camo, which was not issued until somewhere around 2003. The photo was supposed to be taken in 1987. Mistake?

2 Requests
-the writing on the dry erase board in Broyles office from ep 1. when Dunham makes the connection with Bishop.

-2 in ep 3. at 43:20 into the show there is a sign on the train station wall with a picture of the canister from ep 4.

two requests of one scene, since it seemed odd about the observer (aka september).

can you post images of the sandwich he orders at the restaurant ... roast beef, jalepeno peppers, ground black pepper, tabasco sauce? and another of him actually eating it?

a sandwich like that would wreak such havoc on someone's digestive system, and if he was trying to "fit in" it wasn't doing the trick. did you see the looks the waitresses were giving him? thanks in advance.

thebruce said...

haven't read the comments here, but I've got a few other notes, posted on my wiki page for episode 4.

--
At the beginning there is another sign posted on a pole during the Brooklyn title which reads (as best as I could make out:
Unlock your hidden potential
Better health
1-800-555-01??
Better confidence
1-800-555-01??
Better you

--
I made a slightly more detailed reading of the contents of the Observer's binoculars (credited, actually as "September") - there's an endless stream of numbers, though that may be entirely random just for visual fill; there's also some tiny text, but due to its repitition it likely is also just filler.

--
There's a number of the MD crane: 080968

--
I've noticed in each episode there is a lens flare frequently added. May just be a favourite effect of post-production, but sometimes it just seems so out of place. *shrug*

--
Just before Kyle's birth certificate, you can make out the name "Beth Israel" on a folder label as Peter rifles through them

--
I posted higher resolution clips of the tombstones and what I could make out (including missing letters)

--
At the end, maybe just random props, but there's a ceramic cat and a photo pinned at a hospital receptionist's desk.

--
For next week's promo - there's a scene where two posters are on the wall promoting something called "INtREPUS" - which is latin for unshaken, undaunted, eager, hot-blooded.

That's all the stuff I've managed to pick out that I haven't yet seen listed...

towards the end of 103 (the ghost network), broyles shows olivia pictures of some "pattern cases" they havn't heard about (i believe they found out about them from ro mccomb). it looks to be a picture of a limo and a man inside that looks to have a ghost coming from his body. if someone could get this frame/s it would be much appreciated.

EP 104 - the setting shot at night of Harvard. I believe it's about 3/4 of the way through the episode. There is an ice machine sitting outside the building.

Early in "The Arrival," (about 6:12 on Hulu) Peter arrives to complain to Olivia about having to take care of his father. His visitor's badge has a large V on it (for visitor, I get it), but it also has a line through it, making it resemble the A on the kayak in Olivia's dream. Or am I seeing things?

tallone said...

Could you post a picture of the floating necklace?

tallone said...

Sorry one more.. the folder Broyles is holding at the end of the show.

ambaSILdor said...

In 1x02 'The Same Old Story' Broyles, Olivia, Peter and Walter leave the ER room where Loraine Daisy gave birth. As they go to get a look at the '80 year-old man baby' lying in the corridor the Observer is seen standing at the nurse's station, his elbows on the counter. Calmly, he watches as everyone goes by him.

Consuelo said...

I have a request from each show. I've noticed a streak of light that appears at the moment something significant happens:

*Episode 4: When Joseph Meegar is running from Olivia, from the area with all the equipment to the parking lot. ~48:21

*Episode 3: Just before the "Observer" phones, "It has arrived." ~01:01

These are two examples. I think it happens in all episodes.
It looks like a lens flair at first glance, but looks more complicated with a closer look. It happens over several frames, so I'm not sure a simple screen cap will tell what it is.

I'm convinced it's something more.

David Esterbrook, the Intrepus CEO, has an interesting lapel pin. I think there is a good shot of it when Olivia comes to arrest him. I think that may be the next episode clue. Can you get a screen cap of it? It kind of looked like a compass (that you use in geometry class)

I'm not sure if this is classified as a screencap but I was looking at fringebloggers.com and there were connections from some of the viral campaigns and posters that were released prior to the show. For example, in one of them, a few strands of Olivia's hair made out the word "observed". It may be a good idea to look back at them also.

How about a video of the light sequence from the Mercedes,ben's notebook of notes?

I think there should be a section of screen caps related to the bald guy, The Gentleman. He made very small appearances in episodes 6 and 7 (and maybe 8 but I didn't see him) usually in crowded places right before Olivia and the team arrives. For example, I think it was seven where, there is a scene where people get off an elevator, and he is shown walking off the screen, near the front. Did anyone else see him?

Dennis said...

I think you are referring to "The Observer", and in fact he has been in every episode so far. "The Gentleman" referred to in "In Which We Meet Mr. Jones" MAY be The Observer, but there is no evidnce to support that yet.

BTW, you can see all of The Observer screenshots here: http://eastereggs.fringetelevision.com/search/label/Observer

Okay, I didn't know where to post this, but I think a group of us figured out the next episode clue from Dreamscape for Safe. It's easier to see it for yourself here:

http://fringe-forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1490

Basically, it's a link between a symbol briefly shown in Dreamscape on the side of a van, and the van Loeb and his team work out of at Little Hill Field in Safe (which has the same symbol obviously and I think is also a MAJOR clue about Loeb and Jones). I figure if it's confirmed, this post will be deleted, but that's cool ...

The newer Outer Limits perhaps ? Night Gallery ? Twilight Zone ? Tales from the Dark Side ? 99% sure it was a show like that . Thinking Outer Limits myself .

The Observer made an appearance during the Fox Sports Sunday January 11th Eagles/Giants football game!!! At around 9:10 in the first quarter, there was a very diliberate shot of the observer standing on the sideline staring into the field (and not directly at the action). It was a side profile that was definaitely the observer in his usual suit. I'm sure it's an intentional promotional stunt by FOX. But COOL!! I don't have a DVR but I wish I did. DID ANYONE TAPE THE GAME?

Anonymous said...

Not sure if this was posted. Near the end of the episode when olivia is laying down on the couch with her niece theres a few seconds where the camera is focused on a book that she was holding(or was on her lap?)

If my memory is right the book title was "Whats that noise?" Possibly foreshadowing a future episode?

Caps
When Tommy is looking in the mirror and turns away, I think you can see another blurry hatless Observer, then you see our Observer with the hat on. (TPTB have mentioned that there could be more than one Observer.)

The 2 different light boxes - both have 2 missing lights.

We see 2 pages of ZFT clearly enough to read. Those caps would be great.

2 seems to be the running theme, I think Olivia and Peter have to work in conjunction - both unwilling participants and therefore recruits - I think Peter and Olivia turned off the lights together.

It takes 2. All through the episode we keep running into 2. $2 bill, there are 2 missing spots in each of the light light boxes and the counter stops at 0:02.

I first want to start by saying that I am so thankful for the constant updates and intriguing articles you post on this fabulous site! Thank you so much!!
I've noticed that you haven't posted any screencaps for the past few episodes, and I was wondering when you will be putting that up. After watching last night's AMAZING episode, "Bad Dreams," I am dying for some screencaps from that episode! I am simply wondering if you could address this issue on your main page, maybe just say when you'll have screencaps from that episode?? As long as I know you are planning to make screencaps for the past few episodes, then I can wait :)

Hey Alina... sorry, I've just been very backed up... I made a bunch of screenshots tonight, and I'll try to post them all tomorrow...

Sam G said...

Thanks Dennis,

I've been looking forward to them also.

What does Walter mean by traveling between worlds? the scene in bad dreams where Walter is explaining Cortexiphan to Oliva and Peter, at 28:50

Hey Dennis,

While rewatching "Bad Dreams", I noticed that there was a picture of Nimoy aka William Bell at 38:39-38:40. You have to look very, very closley between the newspaper articles. All you can see is part of his face but he is there. Thanks!

Rosanna said...

In the episode Bad Dreams, when they are searching Nick's apartment, they are looking through a desk, and I saw a deck of cards with either the 8 of clubs or Ace of clubs. This could be a clue to Midnight, since she was getting her victims at the club.

Dennis said...

Rosanna, the screenshot is available at FringeFiles.com: http://www.fringefiles.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=3&pos=744It's a seven of clubs, not an eight.

When Olivia is searching the twin sisters apt, she looks threw the books and there is an Auther C. Clark book that is highlighted. Something about "Children". Can I get a ss of that?

When Olivia sees the parrellel universe with the skyline on fire, on the wall it says-

An obvious message to something or someone

Please post screencaps :)

In the episode The road not taken, when searching the combusted twin's appartment, Charlie opens a kitchen cupboard. It happens right after what i find as FILE 261/980 currently. You can glimpse a box of Berry Boom cereal there.

This seems to be the breakfast of the lost memory champions...

Anonymous said...

in road not taken, could that be slusho walter's drinking near the molten body?

When Olivia was having a deja vu moment after visiting the Atty. Winter's office and saw the fire and ambulance -- one of the brick walls had graffiti that said, "HE IS HERE".

I think I may have found the next episode clue.

When they are talking to Greyson, the guy who thinks that Romulans from the future are here to stop the formation of the federation (Nice Star Trek ARG reference by the way, props to J.J.), on the top shelf you see two globes, one blue, the other a brownsih color. I think that these are the clues to next episode, especially since when the title was leaked, there was a globe in the shot. I looked through the gallery and can't find a shot with both globes, but there are a few which show one, then the other.

Hey, I'd really appreciate a high definition screencap of Walter in "Midnight" where after he turns the light on by clapping he turns around with a cookie in his mouth! Thanks in advance, if someone does this!

Can you please post a screencap from Walter's first visit to the graveyard in "There's More Than One Of Everything," roughly 6 minutes into the episode? The stone behind him (it might have said something like "Sarah Chattam" on it?) had flowers carved into it; the flowers looked a lot like ones in the Fringe glyph code.

tallone said...

Could you post a picture of the coin Walter found at the beach house? Also Peter's tombstone.

Deyv87 said...

A screencap of Lenard Nemoy (William Bell) would be good, since I think the next episode clue was the guy who thought that he was Spock. Amazing play by J. J. Abrams, by the way.

Please post a cap of what I believe is a picture of Jerry Garcia playing guitar hanging on the wall in the background when Olivia walks into William Bell's office and I believe prior to her looking at the newpaper of the Obama's

The colour red comes up over and over again in this episode. Not just a dull red but really vivid:

The computer where they match Jones' voice;
The furniture in the office - has Olivia's desk always been so vividly red?!
Ms. Sharp's finger tips on her mechanical arm;
The handlebars of the bike when Jones and his gang use the machine on the street;
The box which Jones pulls the stolen power source out from;
One of the witnesses at the lorry crash site is wearing a red sweater - also is this the same guy from the soccer match? He retorts the same statement almost word for word and his top is much brighter on the soccer pitch;
The camera shoots through a red pane of glass when Peter arrives at the beach house;
When Peter arrives there is a random red (but very bright object in an open refrigerator;
This is where I first noticed (and got a bit obsessed by it) - at the soccer pitch, the team play in red and their is a vending machine which has artificially been made red (maybe to hide an Coke branding?), followed by the red stretcher and paramedic bag;
In the FBI office, there are really bright red boxes and a completely pointless red pot on top of a shelving unit;
Walter's LP disc when looking through the box for the "plug";
The map and pins;
Something in the box when Walter first shows Peter the "plug";
The machine Jones uses to open the window to the alternate reality;
A lingering shot of the fire extinguisher when Astrid returns to the lab to find Walter's note;
How random was the scene where Olivia almost crashed? The car directly behind her at the time, you guessed it, bright red - did it cut her up, or was this scene just there to illustrate how jumpy she was?;
This one was really obvious - when Olivia is waiting in the restaurant, one of the buildings in the background had a red stripe going around it. I'm from London, so I don't know if this building exists - it looked like it had been added though;
When Olivia is in the elevator and suddenly there are 6 other people in it, one of them is wearing a red tie.
Some of these are more tenuous than others but I think it is too much of a coincidence that it came up so often. In particular, the vending machine, Jones' machine, the building with the stripe. What could it mean? I really think there is something to this though...

Sam G said...

I don't believe the colors are an accident, just like in LOST they mean something.

can you post a screen cap of the people that were in the elevator with olivia when she was transporting from one dimension to the next? It's in the last 5 minutes of the season 1 finale.

Please, could someone post a good screencap from the Season Premiere (season 2) of the TV in the apartment where the soldier goes to take over a new identity right after the car crash in the beginning?

People are saying that it is "The X Files" playing and Mulder is up on the screen... However, I can see it clearly!!

Considering the reference to the "X designation" later in the ep., I'm especially curious!!

Thank You!!

Is there a screencap in the works for Markle's character researching Fringe cases on her computer? She references scenes from Revelations in the Bible (I recall "Flesh" and "The Beast"). May be good considering ZFT's "What was written shall come to pass" or something like that...

BTW are there caps from the ZFT manuscript?

jk said...

I'm wondering if the literary shout-outs being given on the show are foreshadowing or just the show staff showing appreciation. The recent X Files shout-out is, I think, just a shout out.

But in "Ability", the book "Land of Laughs" by Jonathan Carroll was featured. That book is about a person who has a world-making power which could be significant in the context of Fringe.

"Childhood's End" by Arthur Clarke was on a bookshelf in "The Road Not Taken". That book's ending could be a hint of what's to come in Fringe.

Can we have a shout-outs page, similar to the Observer page?

can you post two pictures...one from 1-1 and one from 1-20. The screen caps I want are of the leggy assistant who escorts Olivia. In episode 1-1 she is escorting Olivia down a hall before she meets with Nina Sharp at MD. The second instance is in espisode 1-20 when she escorts Olivia off of the elevator to Belly's office. Is this the same actress?? and is it the same person or leggy and leggy* in the other altiverse/"over there".

Don't have the DVDs so the best time spot I can give you for reference is this utube recap show about episode one at 720 of the 10' clip

Each episode has used a song from the band 'Traffic' (Steve Winwood's voice caught my ear).
The first episode was at about 8:30ish. Background music in the bar is 'I Can't Find My Way Home.' Lyrics are here:

The second episode was at about 40:40 inside the bowling alley. The song was 'Dear Mr Fantasy.' Lyrics are here: http://www.songmeanings.net/songs/view/3458764513820561861/

That surprisingly graffiti-free container behind the two CN locomotives (s02e02).

I'm pretty sure it reads Garland Bolger and Lahr Industries. The Lahr isn't that obvious.

A shout-out to the Wizard of Oz now?

how about the observer opening the briefcase?

In the scene where Olivia shoots "First Wave Charlie" there is a mural in the alleyway. Freeze that and you see "to sleep, perchance to dream" painted on the wall. A precursor to the next episode "Dream Logic"

Anonymous said...

During the fight at the end of the latest episode Olivia is knocked to the ground. In the grafiti over her shoulder in the alley is a perfect seahorse, the same one that is in the glyphs.

Can you post captures of the scene where Peter is dreaming and he is a child and Walter comes and abducts him?
I would like to take a close look a the stuff hanging on Peters wall.

I believe JJ Abrams has a cameo and it is in the Episode: Dreamscape. In the traffic jam, when Olivia and Charlie are looking for there guy, in one of the vehicles there is a guy who looks a LOT like Abrams. Could you check it for me?
Thnx

In S02E07 "Of Human Action" around 4:10, they again spelled Massive Dynamic incorrectly as Massive Dyanmics on the scrolling wall billboard.

Around 32:39 in Of Human Action, Peter is cutting his food and after he does the knife disappears in his hand. I thought this was weird and I just wanted to let you know.

In EP 10 S02 at the end, when agent broyles and olivia are talking outside on the strees, you can spot the observator first walking from the right to the left between there heads (mostly when olivia's head is shown before the end of teh conversation). And when broyles walks away, olivia turns her head and the camera turns a bit. Then you can see the observator crossing the street.

Christian said...

In "Grey Matters" the Observer can be spotted right before Peter, Olivia and the special task force are rushing into the public restroom to find Walter's GPS chip in the sink. The Observer is standing right behind the white sedan driving from the right to the left.
And maybe the Observer is also standing next to the lightpole in the background at the end of the episode when Olivia is talking to Broyles. But about that I'm not entirely sure.

Felipe said...

The Observer can be found on the official to right of Walter's right hand (near Olivia's left shoulder)
Here is a link to the Observer's animation: www.fox.com/fringe/_ui/flash/fringe_keyart.swf

Please post a shot of Walter standing outside of the Jacksonville Family Daycare Center when Olivia is sitting in the swing. Decorating the outside of the daycare are a seahorse, a flower, a butterfly, and a handprint. They are not exact duplicates of the glyhps (for instance, the handprint has only 5 fingers), but they are clearly a reference to the glyphs. Two other glyph references, an apple and a leaf, can be seen inside the daycare in the room with 16 objects from the other side.

Mark Halliday said...

Anyone else notice right at the beginning of the "Jacksonville" episode that they misspelled 'Manhattan' as 'Manhatan'? Surely that can't be an error?!

Dreaded209 said...

I know it was a while ago...but in the episode fracture, at the end...when the observer gets the briefcase and scrolls the combination lock, a) what was the combination AND b) was the lock in some kind of strange language (like the notepad in season one in the diner)

a screencap would be excellent, noone seems to have posted one ANYWHERE, I have looked.

p.s. anyone managed to get alogin for massivedynamic.com employee area yet? I sent them an interesting resume under a made up name (won't use my real name) to try and play it as an ARG to get some info.

In the scene where the two Observers walk out of the movie theater, it appears they are both drinking a Slusho. Also, the movie poster behind them is "Clue" which ties into the next episodes title.
In the 15 second Youtube promo you have on the News page, the static screenshot shows Peter walking and most of the glyph images are attached to the wall behind him.

Michael said...

At 18:45 in Olivia. In the Lab. With the Revolver. You can see in the foreground a rope coiled in a way which is a pretty obvious reference to Clue, which of course the episode title is a reference to.

Not probably very significant, but a cute visual easter egg.

Michael said...

And next up, at 37:24 in the same episode, Olivia threatens James with a candlestick, recognizably the same shape as the Clue piece.

I've noticed that Walter's right eye has a glimmer in it which seems to appear during moments of emotional stress. On "White Tulip" I noticed, the glimmer appeared twice during his conversation with Prof Alastair about God, Science, and the White Tulip. On iTunes, this appeared approximately 34.08 seconds. It looked like a bird, but it also looked like a fluorescent light going on and off. It has appeared many times in prior eps, and I wonder if it comes from physically within his body or is a reflection?

Could you find that screencap?

Thanks!

In The Man From the Other Side, I noticed that the two FBI vehicles at the bridge have license plates referencing Star Wars. One license plate has "1R2D21" and the other has "1C3P01". Any screencaps of these?

In the episode Over There: part two alternate Olivia visits the store with the typewriter. Isn't the guy behind the counter Sam Weiss only made to look older? Maybe this is related to the glyphs for this episode?

Thanks for posting a hi-res version of the "other" United States map. I'm looking for a hi-res version of the "warning" poster given to Olivia by the Observer. Thanks!

A "Bald Man" siting that you've missed, and most other sites have missed also, is from the earlier episodes in Season 1. The episode included the man who had the electricity powers, and caused the elevator to crash. Well just after he drops off the package to the girl, and heads into the elevator, you can see the bald man walking "OUT" and exiting the elevator.
